Until this year, I hadn’t even heard of Coachella. I still couldn’t even tell you who is playing, but I do know that just about every fashion media venue has been prepping with Coachella outfits for the past month.

Personally, when I attend festivals, I look for functionality:

-What top don’t I mind getting beer spilled on?
-What sandals won’t break my heart if they getting covered in dirt (and anything else that ends up on the ground)?
-What earrings aren’t so large they won’t get ripped out of my ears?
-What purse can fit all my stuff (camera, phone, etc) but I won’t accidentally drop/get ripped out of my hands?

After accounting for all that, then comes fashion. While I do find it odd that one particular festival has acquired so much fashion attention, I have to admit I love all the casual, summer outfits I’ve been seeing. I am not sure I’d wear them at a festival, but come summer.. I may just be taking on a hippie vibe!
